As a Career recruiter, while reviewing scores of resumes, the job hoppers, for me, always posed a disposition of curiosity instead of one of distain- I wondered and questioned two things:
1) ” Is this person actively creating the career path of their wildest dreams, or are they going with the flow or getting in where they fit in.” 2) “Do they know they own the agency over their career life and trajectory?”… Very surface level assumptive, right? To think that everyone wants to create a “Corporate” career for themselves, huh? BUT for those that do, in my years of conducting hundreds of interviews… mostly with people re-entering the workforce, newly entering the workforce or making a change from their current field workforce, – I discovered the common denominator to be a lack of knowledge of resources and traditional job acquiring skills – OWNING AGENCY!
